The Edison Awards have been recognized as America’s innovation awards that take the time-tested characteristics of innovation from earlier visionaries and write a new chapter in American innovation history. Every year, the Edison Awards Steering Committee accepts nominations from companies and inventors just like you.
New Products and services are the lifeline to the American economy. Launched in 1987 by the American Marketing Association, but an independent organization since 2008, the Edison Best New Product Awards have honored some of the most innovative products, services and business leaders in the world. The Edison Awards are named after Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931) whose extraordinary new product development methods garnered him 1,093 U.S. patents and made him a household name across the world.

The Edison Awards are known around the world for recognizing and honoring innovation and excellence in the development, marketing and launch of new products and services.
In a traditional marketplace, we have seven seconds to get consumers to make a buying decision. It has been overwhelmingly proven that the EBNPA seal captures the consumer, drives new sales and delivers a return on investment. These awards symbolize the persistence and excellence personified by Thomas Alva Edison, while also strengthening America’s drive to remain at the forefront of innovation, creativity, and ingenuity in the global economy. Nominations for the 2011 awards will open on September 1, 2010.
Edison Green Award
With Green technologies and sustainable solutions playing a large role in the redevelopment of Main Street, USA, the Edison Green Award™ will recognize an organization’s commitment to developing sustainable solutions and Green business models. The Edison Green Award™ will be used as a platform to distinguish efforts to reduce a target audience’s carbon footprint, create Green Collar jobs through new innovation methods and improve community health and self sufficiency.
Edison Achievement Award
The Edison Achievement Award recognizes distinguished business executives who have made a significant and lasting contribution to innovation, marketing and human-centered design throughout their careers. This honor is bestowed among the elite within corporate America because Edison Achievement Award Winners’ accomplishments serve as an inspiration industry wide. The 2011 Edison Achievement Award winners will be announced in October, 2010.
