Dr. Chun-Hao Huang co-founded Algen Bio, serves as the CEO with the mission to decode functional gene networks and radically transform patient outcomes. He is a genetic engineer and drug developer. Dr. Huang received his postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley under Nobel Laureate Professor Jennifer Doudna, and his PhD at MSKCC/Weill Cornell Medicine under HHMI Professor Scott Lowe. He pioneered disease-relevant models using CRISPR, which led to the discovery of new therapeutic strategies for treating cancer and inflammatory diseases. He also applied ML to the study of gene functions and invented methods to identify biomarkers that predict drug responses. Dr. Huang is the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting Fellow, UN’s UNLEASH Sustainable Development Goals Talent, AACR Basic Cancer Research Fellow and Innovators Under 35. He has authored over 10 patents, 40 scientific papers, and 4,000 citations across top-tier journals.
