Frank Bonafilia

Executive Director, The Edison Awards; Co-founder, Lewis Latimer Fellowship

Frank Bonafilia doesn’t just recognize innovation — he’s spent his career building the platforms that champion it. As CEO of the Edison Awards, he leads one of the most prestigious honors in business, celebrating the products, services and leaders shaping our future.
That commitment to opening doors runs deep. Frank co-founded the Lewis Latimer Fellowship Program, giving an exceptional small group of visionary innovators special access and mentorship — named for the trailblazing inventor whose contributions helped power modern life, and whose story too often went untold.

A 25-year executive, Frank has built an award-winning career spanning financial services, marketing and innovation, with a track record of launching profitable new products and services on a global scale. He knows firsthand how hard it is to bring a new product to life — which is why he spends much of his time supporting new companies, opening his vast network to help them grow.

Frank holds an MBA from Saint Xavier University and a BA in International Marketing from the University of Kansas.
Outside of work, you’ll find him on an adventure somewhere in the world, chasing new cultures and new food with friends and family.
