Gami D. Maislin, PhD, is a technology executive, systems architect, and strategic advisor with over 25 years of experience driving innovation in energy, defense, and sustainability. She has worked across the entire product development lifecycle and held roles on nearly every side of the table—as an investor, advisor, incubator partner, startup engineer, and Fortune 500 executive.

Her expertise spans all manner of sensing systems, electrification, energy storage, and materials science, grounded in deep training in physics and systems engineering; she actively serves in several roles. Gami is the founder of Maislin Systems Consulting, LLC, where she advises startups, venture firms, and government agencies on strategy, technology, and commercialization—particularly in sensing, clean energy and climate tech. She also serves on the Advisory Council for Seamans Holdings and provides CXO leadership at BRITE Energy Innovators, supporting early-stage companies in product strategy and growth.

Previously, Gami held senior leadership roles at Raytheon Technologies, including Engineering Fellow and Senior Director at the RTX Technology Research Center. There, she led a large R&D organization, shaped corporate technology roadmaps in sustainability, energy storage and electrification, and launched programs with ARPA-E, DARPA, the Missile Defense Agency, the Department of Defense and other agencies.

A first-generation college graduate, Gami is also a passionate educator, mentor and “connector.” She has given webinars and taught physics, math, and systems architecting to hundreds of professionals and students almost every year since she was 19 years old. She is proud to join the Edison Awards, which combines her passion for innovation, diversity, and collaboration.

Gami holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Rochester, along with certifications in venture capital, systems architecture, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.
