NAMI has developed a safe EV battery with non-flammable and in-situ formed quasi-solid electrolyte (QSE) compatible with existing processes. The QSE precursor withstands in-line 45°C wetting for hours before solidification, providing 10 times extended cycle life under 45°C and 4.5 V, and a 20°C thermal stability improvement over liquid counterpart.
